US 15th District Representative and Naperville native Mary Miller (R) is facing extreme criticism over a remark made at a county fair near downstate Quincy on Saturday. Miller, who has been endorsed by former President Donald Trump, was speaking about the recent decision of the Supreme Court to overturn its controversial 1973 ruling in Roe vs Wade when she said that the reversal was “a victory for white life.” Critics immediately pounced on the phrase in social media and other outlets, denouncing the comment as “blatantly racist.” Outgoing Republican US Congressman Adam Kinzinger also denounced the comment, as did her…

Welp, this isn’t something you see every day. Yesterday, Aurora police officers were dispatched to a very unique call. A tractor-trailer was driving in the area of Orchard Road in Aurora when an unexpected visitor flew between the cab and the trailer – a young owl. While it’s highly unlikely that APD has trained for avian extraction, officers were able to get the owl rescued and into the care of the Kane Area Rehabilitation…

In a landmark decision, the Supreme Court today firmly overturned its controversial 1973 decision in Roe Vs. Wade, a decision that created a constitutional right to abortion. The ruling came in the court’s opinion in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which centered on a Mississippi law that banned abortion after 15 weeks of pregnancy. The Republican-led state of Mississippi asked the Supreme Court to strike down a lower court ruling that stopped the 15-week abortion ban from taking place. “We end this opinion where we began. Abortion presents a profound moral question. The Constitution does not prohibit the citizens of each…

Welcome to our latest edition of Fox Valley Magazine’s 4 FOR THE WEEKEND where this week we celebrate bloodthirsty savages in long boats and funny hats. So let’s get to it, starting with….. Celebrate Murderous Plunderers!! Anyone who knows the history of the Vikings…hell, anyone who’s watched the HBO series “Vikings”…could be forgiven for wondering why Geneva celebrates “Swedish Days.” I mean, come on, the very mention of Christopher Columbus sends some people into a woke swoon, but we’re celebrating a people whose contribution to Western civilization was primarily innovating new techniques to rape, plunder, slaughter and steal. On the…
