One man is dead and another hospitalized after a bizarre stabbing attack early Wednesday morning at the Chick-fil-A. According to police, at approximately 5:00am Wednesday Oswego Police were called to the Chick-fil-A restaurant located in the 2700 block of Route 34 for a report of a stabbing. Oswego police took an armed suicidal subject into custody without incident near the Sam’s Club Distribution Center in Oswego early Wednesday morning. At approximately 1:08am Wednesday, officers responded to a report of a suicidal male who had left his residence on foot with a handgun in the 300 block of Kensington Drive. The caller reported the subject was a veteran and may be aggressive toward responding officers. A 16-year-old is in hospital after being shot near a park on Aurora’s East side Thursday evening. According to police, just before 5:50pm Thursday evening officers were called to the 2800 block of Village Green Drive after receiving reports of a gunshot victim near a park filled with children playing. Aurora police successfully negotiated the surrender Wednesday morning of a suspect in a drive-by shooting after a nearly 8 hour stand-off, during which the suspect remained barricaded in a residence. West Chicago police are investigating the circumstances of a dead body found in a tent in the 100 block of East North Avenue Tuesday afternoon. According to police, at approximately 1:50pm on Tuesday officers responded to a wooded area near the 100 block of East North Avenue after a passerby located a dead person inside a tent. A 61-year-old Naperville man has been found guilty of beating his wife to death in early 2020 after finding texts on her phone from another man.
