A 32-year-old Aurora man has accepted a plea deal of 13 years in prison for “Involuntary Servitude” involving the effective enslavement of women for prostitution. Kane County State’s Attorney Jamie L. Mosser announced today that Jamar R. Hare has agreed to a sentence of 13 years of imprisonment in the Illinois Department of Corrections in exchange for a guilty plea to six counts of Involuntary Servitude, a class X felony. One person was killed and one injured when a vehicle struck two pedestrians in downtown West Chicago Saturday afternoon. At approximately 1:32 pm, West Chicago Officers responded to the intersection of Main Street and Washington Street for a report of two pedestrians struck by a motor vehicle. Upon arrival, officers observed the two victims in the roadway with injuries. West Chicago Fire Protection District paramedics responded and transported both victims to area hospitals where one died from their injuries. Two Aurora men are in customer and facing felony charges after Aurora Police officers responded to an alarm activation early Friday morning and discovered damage to two businesses along South Eola Road. A US Bank facility on the east side of St. Charles was robbed by an armed offender Saturday around noon, according to a release by the St. Charles Police Department. According to the release, at approximately 12:05pm Saturday, officers responded to the US Bank, located at 135 Smith Road, for a report of an armed robbery which had just occurred. Two men were found suffering from gunshot wounds on Aurora’s east side late Friday evening. At approximately 11:43pm Friday, Aurora Police officers responded to a report of two people shot in the 200 block of Sout Fourth Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered two male victims, ages 19 and 20, suffering from gunshot wounds. A 24-year-old man is dead and his 23-year-old female companion hospitalized after both were ejected from their car after hitting a tree Wednesday evening. According to police, at approximately 11:21pm Wednesday Aurora police officers and firefighters responded to the 600 block of Spruce Street after receiving a 911 call reporting that a vehicle had struck a tree.
