A 47-year-old Texas woman is in custody after being apprehended at Midway Airport with two children whom she allegedly kidnapped from their Aurora home. At 3:30pm Thursday, Aurora Police were notified of a possible kidnapping involving two children, ages 11 and 13, in the 500 block of Rosewood Avenue. Responding officers discovered that an unknown female had arrived at the residence, where the children were staying with family, and stated that she needed to take the juveniles, on their mother’s behalf, to her location out of state. A 39-year-old Naperville man was killed Wednesday evening when he apparently lost control of the motorcycle he was riding and crashed into a fence on North Naper Boulevard. At approximately 10:01pm Wednesday, the Naperville Police Department and Lisle-Woodridge Fire District responded to the intersection of North Naper Boulevard and Plank Road for the report of a single vehicle crash involving a motorcycle. A body discovered in the prairie of Springbrook Prairie Forest Preserve appears to be that of a 46-year-old mother of 5 from Naperville who has been missing since late last month. At approximately 1:55pm Thursday, Naperville Police Officers were called to a trailhead at the southwest corner of Springbrook Prairie Forest Preserve, near the intersection of 83rd Street and Chandelle Drive, for the report of a dead body discovered in the prairie. A 28-year-old Aurora man was killed early Sunday morning when he apparently lost control of his motorcycle near Washington Junior High School in Naperville and crashed into a small retaining wall. At approximately 6:08am Sunday, Aurora Police officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 500 block of Station Boulevard where they found two male victims near the basketball court, both suffering from gunshot wounds. A private aircraft experiencing mechanical difficulties was forced to land at The Highlands of Elgin golf course Wednesday evening. According to the Elgin Police Department, at approximately 8:20pm Wednesday evening, the Federal Aviation Administration notified the department that a small private plane was preparing to make an emergency landing at the Highlands of Elgin golf course in Elgin due to mechanical issues.
