Kane County Sheriff’s Deputies are asking for the public’s assistance in helping to locate a missing woman, Luciana Infelise of Geneva. At about 12:45pm today, KCSO deputies responded to a residence on the west side of Geneva to take a report of a woman who may have tried to harm herself. The woman was later identified as Infelise. Prior to deputies’ arrival Infelise left in her vehicle. A cell phone ping placed her in the area of the 1000 block of Ronzheimer Avenue in St Charles. The Aurora Police Department is investigating a fatal accident involving a vehicle and motorcycle that occurred yesterday evening in the Butterfield Parkway/Farnsworth/Kirk Road area. After police arrived, the motorcyclist was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the striking vehicle remained on the scene. APD’s Traffic Division remained on-scene reconstructing the crash until approximately 11:40 last night, during which time Butterfield Parkway was shut down between Raddant Road and Farnsworth Ave/Kirk Road. Police have now released a photo of the vehicle believed to be the one that struck a 72 year-old man sitting on a motorcycle at a stoplight and then sped away. The offending vehicle is a red or maroon color SUV, possibly a Jeep Cherokee with front driver’s side damage. Deputies are asking anyone with information to call Detective Minuth at 630-208-2034. Kane County State’s Attorney Jamie Mosser has called a press conference for tomorrow at noon to discuss the August shooting of Ludwig, a Dogo Argentino owned by Wayne resident Joe Petit. Ludwig was shot by a neighbor of Petit, Hal Phipps, who is also the husband of Wayne Village President Eileen Phipps. Phipps has maintained that he shot Ludwig as an act of self-defense, after having been “menaced” on his own property to the extent that he, in his wife’s words, “was in fear of his life.” Petit insists that Ludwig wasn’t on Phipps’ property but was, rather, in the…

Bartlett Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run involving a pedestrian yesterday evening. On Monday, September 13, 2021, at approximately 9:00 p.m., Bartlett police responded to the area of Lake Street and Park Boulevard to investigate a fatal hit-and-run motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian. They discovered a 66-year-old male from Streamwood who was found lying in the roadway near the eastbound left turn lane. The man had suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates, where he died as a result of his injuries. The Illinois State Police announced today that the ISP will conduct a Roadside Safety Check in Elgin the weekend of September 17th, 2021. The use of RSCs combine a strong sense of public awareness and enforcement in order to save lives of the motoring public.
