A 45-year-old South Elgin man has pleaded guilty to disseminating child pornography after he sent a video to the Kane County States Attorney’s Child Exploitation Unit’s undercover computer. Kane County State’s Attorney Jamie L. A jury has found a 29-year-old Streamwood man guilty of strangling and sexually abusing a young girl over an approximately 6-month period in 2023-2024. Kane County State’s Attorney Jamie L. Mosser announced today Quinton K. Hawkins has been found guilty of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child, a Class X felony; Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse, a Class 2 felony; and Aggravated Domestic Battery – Strangulation, a Class 2 felony (2 counts). A 35-year-old Naperville man who allegedly threatened workers in his building with a machete Wednesday afternoon was ultimately subdued by the Naperville Police Special Response Team after a prolonged stand-off. A 54-year-old former West Chicago third grade teacher from Aurora has been accused of having inappropriate sexual contact with multiple students during the 2025-2026 school year. A 53-year-old Yorktown man who was found guilty of murdering his girlfriend by shooting her in the back of the head in 2003 has been sentenced to 70 years in prison. A 40-year-old Naperville woman has been sentenced to 38 years in prison for fatally shooting her fiancé in November 2020 after an argument over him allegedly seeing another woman. On February 6, 2026, a jury found Rosa Lagrone guilty of one count of First Degree Murder in the death of her fiancé, Darnell Manns. A 23-year-old Woodstock man was killed and his passenger injured when his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck on Warrenville Road late Tuesday evening.
