A 24-year-old Batavia man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for sexually assaulting a disabled woman at Marklund Home in Geneva in 2023.  Kane County State’s Attorney Jamie L. Mosser announce yesterday that Judge John Barsanti sentenced Isaiah Fields to 25 years of imprisonment in the Illinois Department of Corrections. One of the deceased was originally reported to be 31-year-old Erick Garcia-Porcayo. The deceased has now been identifed as 18-year-old Erik Porcayo-Ramirez, who was riding in the white Ford F350 at the time of the incident and was pronounced deceased at the scene. A 32-year-old Chicago man received a sentence of 57 years in prison for the attempted murder of his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend at an Aurora gas station in August 2022. Kane County State’s Attorney Jamie L. Mosser announced today that Judge John Barsanti has sentenced Byron Frazier to a total of 57 years in prison. Two people are dead and three others in hospital after the driver of a pickup truck swerved to avoid a deer and crashed into oncoming traffic on Plank Road Sunday evening. According to a press release from the Kane County Sheriff’s office, at approximately 9:43pm on Sunday deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Plank Road and Switzer Road for a four-car collision that resulted in the deaths of two individuals at the scene. Two men are in custody after having being apprehended by Naperville police shortly after burglarizing a local smoke shop early Thursday morning. At approximately 2:30am Thursday, police were dispatched for a reported burglary in progress at a smoke shop in the 1500 block of West Ogden Avenue. Aurora police are investigating what they believe was a domestic-related shooting Tuesday afternoon on the city’s northwest side. At approximately 4:28pm on Tuesday, Aurora Police and Fire personnel responded to a incident in the 1000 block of North Edgelawn Drive in Aurora wherein a male subject reportedly fired a weapon during an altercation inside the residence, striking another individual.
