Three men who allegedly crashed a car into a Naperville Apple store in order to rob it last fall are in custody after Naperville Police arrested the third subject yesterday. Two adults and three juveniles have been arrested after a year-long investigation into a string of burglaries and acts of vandalism that occurred between December 2022 and April 2023 in Batavia. A 20-year-old Geneva woman has succumbed to injuries sustained when the vehicle in which she was a passenger crashed into utility pole Thursday morning. Sandra Sanchez passed yesterday at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove. A 15-year-old Naperville student has been identified as one of the deceased following an avalanche in Switzerland Monday. Aleksas Beiga, a freshman at Naperville Central High School, was on spring break when he died during an April 1 avalanche near a ski resort in Zermatt, Switzerland. Alexas was the son of former Lithuainian Olymipic swimmer Nerijus Beiga, and is also survived by his mother Sonata, his sister Eva, his grandmothers Marija and Birute, and his uncles Edvinas, Marius and Gediminas.
