Superstar musician, actor and St. Charles resident Donnie Wahlberg’s family-owned Wahlburgers restaurant announced via social media today that it will be closing its St. Charles location “effective immediately.” The communication did indicate that the restaurant is planning to move to a “new location.” No timing for the move was indicated. “To our beloved patrons, thank you for your support and we look forward to welcoming you back to our new location” The popular restaurant chain is owned by Donnie and two of his brothers – Mark and Executive Chef Paul – and opened in St. Charles in mid-July 2020 in…

Elgin will celebrate the Fourth of July with a parade, concert and fireworks, all occurring on Saturday, July 4th. Fourth of July ParadeThe Fourth of July Parade will begin at 9am at the intersection of Douglas and Slade avenues. The death of a 44-year-old Campton Hills woman in early May has been deemed an accident by authorities. On the evening of May 8, 2026, Campton Hills police officers responded to a report of a disturbance on the 4N600 block of Brookside West Drive. Officers found Nena Peduzzi unresponsive on the driveway of her residence. EMS personnel pronounced Ms. Peduzzi deceased at the scene. A thorough investigation determined Ms. Peduzzi’s cause of death to have been an accidental vehicle-pedestrian collision.
