Batavia’s Windmill City Festival will be held from Friday to Saturday, July 10-12 in downtown Batavia. The Windmill City Festival has long been a staple of the community and has become a tradition for many families, formerly called Batavia Boo Boo Days until 1978. The Naperville Park District and the City of Naperville will host a free community celebration in honor of the United States’ 250th anniversary on Saturday, July 4, at the Frontier Sports Complex. At 7:30pm, the Naperville Municipal Band will perform patriotic classics at the Wagner Pavilion, located within the 95th Street Community Plaza, next to the 95th Street Library. Superstar musician, actor and St. Charles resident Donnie Wahlberg’s family-owned Wahlburgers restaurant announced via social media today that it will be closing its St. Charles location “effective immediately.” The communication did indicate that the restaurant is planning to move to a “new location.” No timing for the move was indicated. “To our beloved patrons, thank you for your support and we look forward to welcoming you back to our new location” The popular restaurant chain is owned by Donnie and two of his brothers – Mark and Executive Chef Paul – and opened in St. Charles in mid-July 2020 in…
