A Bolingbrook man was arrested Wednesday evening on allegations that he dealt cocaine in the Naperville area. Naperville Police, with assistance from the DuPage Metropolitan Enforcement Group, arrested the 27-year-old following a month-long investigation into alleged cocaine sales in the Naperville area. The arrest took place shortly after 7:30pm Wednesday evening in a parking lot in the 6000 block of Illinois Route 53 in Woodridge. The suspect, of the 300 block of Whitewater Drive, Bolingbrook, has been charged with two counts of Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance (one Class X felony and one Class 1 felony).

A 33-year-old man who entered the US illegally from Mexico only two weeks ago has been charged with the murder of his wife in Carol Stream. DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin and Carol Stream Chief of Police Don Cummings announced Thursday that Judge Joshua Dieden has granted the State’s motion to deny pre-trial release for the man, who was officially charged with five counts of First Degree Murder. According to prosecutors, on Monday at approximately 11:30am the suspect entered the Carol Stream Police Department and informed authorities that he had allegedly stabbed his wife. Rookies Rochaus in West Dundee presents it’s Country Pop Night tonight beginning at 6pm. Joseph J. Charron, 68, a former monk and teacher at Marmion Academy, has agreed to a sentence of 30 months probation and 180 days of imprisonment in exchange for a guilty plea to the offense of aggravated battery, a Class 3 Felony. Judge Julie Yetter accepted the plea. During the time the victim was in high school at Marmion Academy, and between the ages of 15 and 17, Charron made contacts of an insulting and provoking nature with him. Internationally-acclaimed pianist Orli Shaham will be performing Schumann’s Piano Concerto with the Elgin Symphony Orchestra this Saturday, April 6, at 2:30pm. A 68-year-old woman is in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries this afternoon after being struck by a vehicle at the corner of Mill Road and West Washington Street early this morning. According to Oswego police, at approximately 6:47am this morning the victim was crossing Mill Road from Lynx Lane to West Washington Street and was struck by a car turning left onto Mill Road from West Washington Street.
