A 28-year-old Montgomery man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after he fled from police and subsequently crashed his vehicle into a tree, killing a passenger in the process. Kendall County State’s Attorney Eric Weis announced that Saul Muro, Jr., of Montgomery was sentenced to 15 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for the offenses of Reckless Homicide; Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Accident; and Possession of a Controlled Substance, in an agreed plea earlier this week. One man was hospitalized with spinal and other injuries and another sustained minor injuries after both were hit by an out-of-control Chevy Corvette during a street race in Aurora. On July 13, 2024, at approximately 1:14am, officers responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian accident at 2363 Sequoia Drive in Aurora. Upon arrival, officers found a 25-year-old male victim lying on the ground with apparent arm injuries. A Montgomery man has been sentenced to natural life in prison without parole for the execution-style murder of his wife on October 31, 2022, at their home in Montgomery. On Friday, Timothy Gordon, 48, was sentenced by Kane County Circuit Court Judge Clint Hull to 50 years in prison for the first degree murder of his wife, Yahaira. Naperville police are seeking a suspect in the armed robbery that took place yesterday in the 4900 block of South Rt. 59. At approximately 5:03am on Friday, the Naperville Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery that had occurred approximately 10 minutes earlier.
