Instead, damage across the area was caused by straight-line winds reaching 70 mph or greater. While most of the county experienced minor damage—such as downed trees and cosmetic building impacts—some locations, including Maple Park, Burlington, Virgil, Huntley and Hampshire, saw more significant but isolated damage. The City of Aurora will hold the Daniel D. Dolan St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Sunday, March 16th, from 11:00am to 12:00pm. It will step off at the corner of Water Street and Downer Place, head west on Downer, and end at Downer and Stolp Avenue.
