At Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital in Geneva, the first baby born in 2025 was Daniel Sosa, Jr., who arrived at 12:42 p.m. on January 1. The proud parents, Nayelly Valdez and Daniel Sosa from Aurora, celebrated the birth of their son, who weighed in at 6 pounds, 11 ounces, and measured 19.5 inches long. In Elgin, Advocate Sherman Hospital introduced Forrest Jeremiah Mahoney, born at 3:55 p.m. on January 1.
