Seventy-three-year-old Willie Mosely of Maywood, Illinois, was just trying to help. Mosley and another man were transporting a refrigerator in the back of their pickup truck in March 2022 when it accidentally fell out the back on Eola Road in Aurora. The St. Charles Planning and Development Committee voted Monday evening to reject an extension of a temporary closure of Walnut Street designed to allow for outdoor dining for one of St. Charles’ most popular pubs. Update: Two men arrested yesterday evening after a chase at the Fox Valley Mall were arrested on weapons charges, according to the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office. According to a press release, an Aurora man and a sixteen-year-old male juvenile, also from Aurora, each appeared in court today charged with illegally possessing a gun. Aurora police responded with a “heavy presence” at the Fox Valley Mall yesterday evening, ultimately taking two suspects into custody. According to police, officers engaged in a foot pursuit of two suspects. One suspect was apprehended after a short foot pursuit. The second suspect was located and taken into custody after an extensive ground search of the area. The incident remains under investigation and no indication of alleged criminal activity has been forthcoming. APD, however, believes that here is no danger to the community at this time.
