A driver who was allegedly intoxicated caused a four-vehicle crash yesterday afternoon on Route 47 north of Galena Boulevard. At approximately 4:38pm, Yorkville police were summoned to investigate a crash that left four vehicles in the Rob Roy Creek, which runs parallel to Route 47. According to police, the suspect, a 44-year-old man from Aurora, was traveling Northbound on Rt. 47 when he crossed the center line and sideswiped two vehicles. The victim, a 34-year-old Montgomery man, was located inside the establishment with apparent stab wounds. Paramedics transported the man to a local hospital for treatment where he is listed in stable condition.   Officers located a 26-year-old man outside the establishment who was identified by witnesses as the offender and he was taken into custody. A 27-year-old Naperville man has been arrested in connection with a shooting outside of a downtown Naperville establishment last Saturday evening, according to a joint press release from the Naperville Police Department and the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office. On March 11, 2023, at approximately 11:35 p.m., officers responded to a call in downtown Naperville regarding a patron who was causing a disturbance when asked to leave an establishment on Jefferson Avenue.
