Look, it’s all very nice that online publication World Atlas has selected the Fox Valley’s own Geneva as one of its Top 7 Small Towns in Illinois for a Weekend Getaway. As is usual in the Fox Valley, the weather doesn’t seem to want to cooperate with Spring. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Advisory for the entire Fox Valley Region. Rain this evening will transition to snow across areas near and north of I-88 late tonight into early tomorrow. 2-5 inches of snow accumulation is possible across parts of the region. Slushy snow accumulation, especially on bridges and overpasses, is likely to adversely impact travel for a period early Saturday morning. Exercise caution if you encounter snow on the roads tonight and tomorrow.

It went down almost exactly as the commercials envision it. On Wednesday evening at approximately 5:14 p.m., the owner of a home in the 1100 block of Shamrock Court in southeast Naperville began receiving alarm activations and footage from his alarm system. (He was not at home.) Immediately, multiple Naperville Police Officers responded to the scene. At approximately 3pm in the afternoon on August 18, 2022, 19-year-old St. Charles resident Kevin White had his life taken from him in tragic car crash. White was a passenger in a vehicle traveling northbound on Randall Road through the intersection of Red Gate Road when another vehicle turned left onto eastbound Red Gate in front of it, causing a collision in the intersection.  White and the young man driving his vehicle, 20-year-old Mason Koffenberger, were transported to Delnor Hospital with serious injuries. Pickleball courts, an adult challenge course and more are on tap for Primrose Farm Park in St. Charles thanks to a state grant. In early March, the St. Charles Park District learned it was the recipient of a $600,000 Open Space Land Acquisition and Development grant from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.
