    Suspect In Custody In Aurora Stabbing Incident

    A Montgomery man is in custody after allegedly stabbing a man in downtown Aurora Friday evening.

    Shortly before 8:00pm on Friday, APD responded to a liquor establishment in the 100 block of W. Downer Place after a report of a person being stabbed. The victim, a 34-year-old Montgomery man, was located inside the establishment with apparent stab wounds. Paramedics transported the man to a local hospital for treatment where he is listed in stable condition.

     

    Officers located a 26-year-old man outside the establishment who was identified by witnesses as the offender and he was taken into custody. A knife was recovered at the scene of the incident.

    The suspect remains in custody and has been charged with the following:

     

      • Attempted Murder (class X felony)
      • Aggravated Battery Bodily Harm (class 3 felony)
      • Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon (class 3 felony)
      • Aggravated Battery in a Public Property (class 3 felony)

    The suspect is scheduled to appear in Kane County Bond Court today.
