The Bluff City Cemetery Walk will be held in person on September 25 & 26, 2021, and because of the overwhelming support received last year, there will be a virtual version of the event released on October 3, 2021.  The annual Bluff City Cemetery Walk in Elgin has been a tradition since 1987. Naper Settlement’s annual Naper Nights Community Concert Series will finish off the 2021 season with tributes to the Rolling Stones, Phish, and more on September 17-18 from 5-10 p.m. Naper Nights features the area’s best tribute bands performing music from the 1960s to today. Elgin police responded to the area of Clock Tower Plaza in Elgin this morning following a report of shots fired. At approximately 2:07am, police arrived and identified evidence of a shooting. No injuries or property damage has been reported at this time. This is the 43rd reported incident of gunfire in Elgin this year. The record for reported gunfire incidents in a year is 64, which was set in 2016. If you have information that may assist, please call 847-289-2600. The Aurora Police Department is looking for assistance in locating 17 year old, KLARIZZA FLORES. Klarizza is 5’6”, medium build with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen 09/09/21 on the city’s west side wearing gray Nike shoes and a gray/black backpack.
