Authorities have identified a man who was killed Sunday morning in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on Fabyan Parkway on Geneva’s far west side. The Kane County Coroner’s Office has identified the man as 40-year-old Eric Gardner of Sycamore. Geneva Police, the Kane County Sheriff’s Office, and the Geneva and Batavia fire departments responded to the crash, which was discovered at 6:37am by passing motorists. A 28-year-old Oswego woman has been sentenced to 30 years in prison after she pleaded guilty to murdering her friend in February 2023. Kendall County State’s Attorney Eric Weis announced that Alexia Telles was sentenced, pursuant to plea agreement, to 30 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for First Degree Murder by Judge Jody Gleason last week. The drowning death of of a 27-year-old man at Naperville’s Centennial Beach is being investigated by Naperville police. On Thursday at approximately 5:43 p.m., police were dispatched to Centennial Beach, located at 500 Jackson Avenue, for a report of a missing person who was last seen in the deep end of the pool. DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin announced yesterday that Judge Joseph Bugos has found a former DuPage County Deputy Sheriff assigned to the Corrections Bureau guilty of having inappropriate sexual contact with a female prisoner. Kendall County Sheriff’s officers and members of the US Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force tracked down and arrested an Aurora man facing multiple felony charges in Kendall County. The 35-year-old suspect was apprehended Wednesday in unincorporated Montgomery. Deputies from the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office responded on June 8 after receiving a report of an individual found inside a residence in the 0–100 block of Cypress Drive in unincorporated Bristol Township.
