The Aurora Police Department has issued an alert for a missing 10 year-old boy. His name is Benjamin Pena and he was last seen in the 600 block of W. Galena Bl in Aurora at 7:45pm. Benjamin is approximately 4’08” with a medium build. He was wearing a gray shirt with cars on it and gray pants with a stripe down the side. If you see Benjamin, please call 9-1-1.
Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer convicted of murdering George Floyd, was sentenced today to 22.5 years in prison, a 10 year expansion of state sentencing guidelines in second degree murder cases. The killing of Floyd, a Black man, in Minneapolis in May 2020 convulsed the nation and sparked global outrage and Black Lives Matter protests and riots all around the world.
