The Montgomery Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a suspect in the stabbing of a pregnant mother Saturday morning. The suspect is a Hispanic male, age 39, with dark hair, estimated height between 5’4” and 5’6”, approximately 190lbs. He was last seen wearing dark pants and a dark colored jacket. Police caution that if you see the suspect, he may be armed and should not be approached. Anyone with information is urged to contact 911. A 25-year-old West Chicago man has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for his role in the savage murder of an 18-year-old West Chicago man in 2018. DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin announced Tuesday that Judge Brian Telander sentenced Francisco Alvarado to forty years in the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) for his role in the 2018 murder of Luis Guerrero, 18, of West Chicago. Alvarado had previously entered a plea of guilty to one count of First-Degree Murder and one count of Aggravated Kidnapping (Class X Felony). Alvarado is the last of four individuals charged in the…

A 17-year-old high school student was shot and killed Saturday evening at a residence in Hampshire. His alleged assailant is in custody. At approximately 11:30pm on Saturday, the Hampshire Police Department responded to a residence in the 100 block of High Street for a report of a shooting inside the residence, where they found a 17-year-old male Hampshire resident, later identified as Deegan Kirschke, suffering from a gunshot. A 47-year-old Texas woman is in custody after being apprehended at Midway Airport with two children whom she allegedly kidnapped from their Aurora home. At 3:30pm Thursday, Aurora Police were notified of a possible kidnapping involving two children, ages 11 and 13, in the 500 block of Rosewood Avenue. Responding officers discovered that an unknown female had arrived at the residence, where the children were staying with family, and stated that she needed to take the juveniles, on their mother’s behalf, to her location out of state. A 39-year-old Naperville man was killed Wednesday evening when he apparently lost control of the motorcycle he was riding and crashed into a fence on North Naper Boulevard. At approximately 10:01pm Wednesday, the Naperville Police Department and Lisle-Woodridge Fire District responded to the intersection of North Naper Boulevard and Plank Road for the report of a single vehicle crash involving a motorcycle. A body discovered in the prairie of Springbrook Prairie Forest Preserve appears to be that of a 46-year-old mother of 5 from Naperville who has been missing since late last month. At approximately 1:55pm Thursday, Naperville Police Officers were called to a trailhead at the southwest corner of Springbrook Prairie Forest Preserve, near the intersection of 83rd Street and Chandelle Drive, for the report of a dead body discovered in the prairie. A 28-year-old Aurora man was killed early Sunday morning when he apparently lost control of his motorcycle near Washington Junior High School in Naperville and crashed into a small retaining wall.
