A Chicago man is in custody after abducting his nearly two-year-old child from the child’s Elgin home Friday afternoon. The 34-year-old suspect has been charged by the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office with Robbery (Class 2 Felony), Child Abduction-Violating a court order (Class 4 Felony), Aggravated Fleeing and Eluding (Class 4 Felony), Violation of an order of protection (Class A Misdemeanor), two counts of Domestic Battery (Class A Misdemeanor) and Child Endangerment (Class A Misdemeanor). Callahan was last seen by family on 09-04-2023, in Unincorporated Geneva, at approximately 3:00 PM. Callahan left the residence on foot and does not have access to a vehicle. A West Chicago man is dead and another in custody after a fatal collision between a car and a motorcycle in West Chicago Wednesday evening. At approximately 7:15pm Wednesday, West Chicago police officers found an injured man lying on the ground at the intersection of Neltnor Boulevard and Kings Circle. The man was immediately transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased approximately one hour later. A 42-year-old Elgin man is in custody after being charged with a plethora of burlaries and robberies, including two recent robberies of Elgin banks. The accused was identified by an Elgin Police detective several days after a robbery at the Chase Bank located at 1600 Larkin Avenue in Elgin, which occured on Friday, September 1.
