Two Chicago women were arrested Wednesday as part of an investigation into prostitution activity at Hy Massage, 410 E. State Street in Geneva.The arrests came after an investigation initiated following community reports of illicit activity at the business. According to a press release from the City of Geneva, the 45-year-old owner of Hy Massage was taking into custody and charged with one count of prostitution, a Class A misdemeanor; and one count of operating as a massage therapist without a license, a Class A misdemeanor. Police are searching for a suspect in the armed robbery of a BP gas station in Sugar Grove early this morning. At approximately 2:49am, the Kane County Sheriff’s Office was summoned to the BP Gas Station, located at 9S595 Illinois Route 47 in Sugar Grove Township, for a report of an armed robbery. Based on information gathered to this point, an African American male in his early twenties, between 5’8” and 6’0”, entered the store dressed in all black, wearing white gloves, black shoes, and a surgical mask. When it comes to winter storms, Fox Valley residents have grown suspicious of dire forecasts in recent years. Many is the time that a roar has been predicted, only to be followed by a pathetic whisper. But Tuesday’s snowstorm didn’t disappoint, at least in the Fox Valley, which was hit the hardest of anywhere in Chicagoland. A home in Batavia was broken into and robbed during the overnight hours Monday while residents slept in their beds. At 8:11am Tuesday morning, Batavia Police Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 900 block of Towne Avenue for a report of a residential burglary. The preliminary investigation indicates that the offender(s) forced entry into the home sometime during the overnight hours. A Hanover Park man is in custody after a prolonged standoff with police Saturday morning that required the Naperville Police Special Response Team and Crisis Negotiators to be mobilized. On Saturday at approximately 4:26am, multiple Naperville Police Officers responded to the 1600 block of Country Lakes Drive when a stolen motor vehicle was discovered parked in a lot. Officers attempted to make contact with the occupant, who fled on foot into a nearby apartment unit.
