Dundee Heritage Fest will be held from Friday to Sunday, September 12-14, in downtown West Dundee. A local favorite along the Fox River, Heritage Fest is free to attend and provides activities for all ages. A 70-year-old Aurora man was brutally beaten in an attempted robbery late last Thursday evening when he was accosted by a juvenile on Aurora’s west side. At approximately 11:13pm, Aurora Police responded to the 2000 block of West Galena Boulevard for a report of an attempted robbery and aggravated battery where they found a 70-year-old victim with significant facial injuries, including swelling to both eyes and a facial laceration. The Great American Dog Show, hosted by The International Kennel Club of Chicago, will be held at Cantigny Park in Wheaton from Friday to Sunday, September 5-7. GADS is the premier celebration of pure bred dogs in the Midwest, and attendees can expect a family friendly fun-filled day.
