As reported previously, an Elgin man was found stabbed to death in a home in the 300 block of Ryerson Avenue Sunday evening. The man has now been identified as 56-year-old Peter J. Lopez. His alleged assailant, a 57-year-old woman who lived with him in the residence, has now been charged with murder. On Sunday evening, an Elgin man was stabbed to death At 6:40 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to the 300 block of Ryerson Ave. for a report of a stabbing. Officers arrived on scene and located an adult male subject with injuries who was subsequently pronounced deceased on the scene. A woman was killed Sunday afternoon after she apparently lost control of her car on Plank Road in unincorportated Plato township. At approximately 4:30 P.M. on Sunday, Kane County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to an accident with serious injuries in the 40W200 block of Plank Road, where they discovered that a single-vehicle crash had occurred. A man was shot and killed Sunday evening on Aurora’s near-West side, according to a press release from the Aurora police department. Shortly before 10:00PM Sunday evening, Aurora police were called to the 400 block of west New York Street in repsonse to shots being reported. Officers located a 24-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds inside a parked vehicle. Aurora Fire Department paramedics transported the man to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
