A man was shot and hospitalized on the northwest side of Naperville early yesterday morning.

The identity of the victim has not been released.

At approximately 12:16 a.m. monday morning, Naperville Police Department officers responded to the 700 block of Inland Circle for the report of a subject that had been shot.

The Naperville Fire Department transported the victim to the hospital and his injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.

The preliminary investigation indicated the victim and the person who shot him are known to each other. The two were with some other individuals, when at some point while together a firearm was brandished, and the victim was shot.
