On Sunday evening, an Elgin man was stabbed to death At 6:40 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to the 300 block of Ryerson Ave. for a report of a stabbing. Officers arrived on scene and located an adult male subject with injuries who was subsequently pronounced deceased on the scene. An individual was taken into custody and Detectives from the Major Investigations Division are actively investigating the case. A woman was killed Sunday afternoon after she apparently lost control of her car on Plank Road in unincorportated Plato township. At approximately 4:30 P.M. on Sunday, Kane County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to an accident with serious injuries in the 40W200 block of Plank Road, where they discovered that a single-vehicle crash had occurred. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, Kimberly Roddan, 56, of Sycamore, was transported to Sherman Hospital by Pingree Grove EMS with life threatening injuries and was later pronounced deceased. A man was shot and killed Sunday evening on Aurora’s near-West side, according to a press release from the Aurora police department. Shortly before 10:00PM Sunday evening, Aurora police were called to the 400 block of west New York Street in repsonse to shots being reported. Officers located a 24-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds inside a parked vehicle. Aurora Fire Department paramedics transported the man to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
