Elgin firefighters rescued a teen from the second floor of a burning house in the 600 block of Dover Drive Friday morning. At just after 9:30 a.m., Friday, members of the Elgin Fire Department responded to the 600 block of Dover Drive for a report of a possible structure fire. While en route to the fire, crews were informed that one occupant had jumped from a second floor window, and that someone might still be in the home. Officer was previously terminated in 2017 for violations of policy; reinstated by arbitrator The Aurora Police Department has terminated the employment of Officer Jonathan Olsen after a criminal and internal Office of Professional Standards Investigation revealed he left numerous voicemails threatening to harm the life and well-being of the intended recipient, according to a statement released by APD Friday evening. North Aurora Police Department yesterday issued a warning to residents to be on the lookout for the man pictured below who posed as a Village of North Aurora Water Department employee and tried to gain access to a home in the 400 block of Juniper Dr. on the Village’s west side. The iconic sight of the Midwestern bison graces the acres of prairie land surrounding the lab, beckoning visitors from across the country. On April 13, baby bison season officially began at the lab, a sure sign spring is truly on its way. The first calf of the year was born in the morning, and both mother and baby are doing well. Oswego police are seeking assistance in identifying a man who might have knowledge of the whereabouts of a Bolingbrook man who has been missing since March. On March 29, a Dodge Charger rented by Edward Gardner, who was reported missing by his family in March, was involved in a multi-vehicle crash in Hammond, Indiana. The man below was a passenger in the Charger, and both he and the driver fled the scene of the crash.
