4 FOR THE WEEKEND
where you respect your mother…or else.
So let’s get to it, starting with…..
Farmers Markets Are Back!
Yes, it’s Mother’s Day weekend, and what better way to celebrate with her than to take her to the Geneva French Market?
Admit it, gentlemen, we’ve kept to our word and held the whole “market” thing to a minimum. In fact, this is the first of the year.
But it seems fitting for Mothers Day, doesn’t it? What, don’t you LOVE your mother???? Huh????

And After The Market, Brunch…..
Imagine, after taking mom to the French Market, you’ve worked up that “shopping appetite.”
We all know what that is.
Now you can treat her to a nice Mother’s Day brunch.
We’re suggesting The Anvil Club in Dundee, but there are loads of places with lovely brunch offerings. Do yourself a favor and dig in. She’ll love it, and you’ll get to pig out.
What are holiday’s for, anyway?

Entertainment Option 1
So, you’ve done the market, had a lovely brunch. Probably time for a wee nap before bringing on the entertainment section of the program.
For that, we offer two choices. The first we’ll call the low brow route, although it’s not really low.
If your mom enjoyed the music of Chicago, get her to the Arcada Sunday where originals members have formed what’s effectively a second CTA (this time California instead of Chicago).
Sounds like a great night to finish off the perfect Mother’s Day.

And Finally…
Option number 2, the high brow route.
The Elgin Youth Symphony Orchestra is an absolute jewel in the Fox Valley. Mom would be oh-so-impressed were you to fete her with this performance.
(Yes, we used the word “fete.” We said it was high brow, didn’t we??? Sheesh.)
Anyway, regardless of which route you take, we wish you all a Happy Mother’s Day!

We’ve given up on predicting the weather. The Weather Channel is always wrong. You’re on your own, folks.
If, for whatever reason, none of our fabulous four events doesn’t pop your cork, we’ll be very insulted. However, all hope is not lost. Simply go to www.foxvalleymagazine.com and check out our A+E and Events sections for other ideas.
Finally, please do us a favor. We would be eternally grateful if you could share this with some of your unsuspecting family, friends and neighbors. We’d also appreciate some love on our Facebook page (see below). Ok, technically it’s a “LIKE,” but don’t be pedantic. Also, that’s actually two favors. We’ll owe you.
Thanks for reading. Until next time…OH! One more thing. If you’re reading this via the website and would like to have this emailed to you bright and early every Friday morning, please SUBSCRIBE!
