A 42-year-old woman was tragically killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Ogden Avenue in Aurora Tuesday evening. According to preliminary information from the Aurora Police department, at approximately 9:52pm Tuesday a silver 2011 Volkswagen Routan was traveling eastbound on Ogden Avenue approaching Frontenac Street when it collided with three vehicles stopped at a traffic light. The impact caused the Volkswagen to roll on its side, partially ejecting the female driver from the driver’s side window and pinning her to the roadway. The suspect accused of shooting a man outside of a Naperville apartment complex earlier this week has been released from custody pending his trial. Judge Joshua Dieden denied DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin’s motion to detain the 18-year-old subject during First Appearance Court Thursday morning. The suspect is charged with one count of Aggravated Battery – Discharge Machine Gun and one count of Unlawful Possession of a Machine Gun, both Class X Felonies. One man is dead and another in hospital with critical injuries after two semi tractor-trailers collided in Dundee Township Tuesday morning. At approximately 7:39am Tuesday, Kany County Sherrif’s deputies were summoned to the intersection of Miller Road and Route 31 where they found one semi, a Freightliner, on the shoulder of the roadway and another, a Mack, in a field just east of Route 31. The deputies found that the driver of the Freightliner had suffered severe injuries and rendered life-saving measures, but were unable to overcome the injuries sustained. A man is in hospital after being shot in the chest outside of a Naperville apartment complex Monday evening. Naperville police officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Testa Drive at approximately 8:48pm Monday evening where they located an 18-year-old male from Naperville laying on a grassy area outside an apartment building suffering from a single gunshot wound to the chest. An Elgin man was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after a shooting incident on Elgin’s far west side early Sunday morning. At approximatly 3:40am on Sunday, Elgin police officers investigated a reported shooting incident in the 1200 block of Shawford Way in Elgin. Officers arrived on scene and located an adult male subject with a non-life threatening gunshot wound, who was subsequently transported to a local hospital. A 33-year-old Chicago man was sentenced to 12 years in prison after pleading guilty to providing a lethal does of heroin/fantanyl to a Naperville man. DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin announced Wednesday that Shawn Smith entered a plea of guilty to one count of Drug Induced Homicide, a Class X Felony, after which Judge Daniel Guerin handed down the 12-year sentence. On November 27, 2022, the victim, a twenty-three-year-old male, was found deceased in a bedroom of the family residence. A 35-year-old Wheaton woman is dead after her vehicle was struck by a Ford Bronco at the intersection of South Naper Boulevard and Hobson Road in Naperville Wednesday evening. According to Naperville police, at approximately 8pm Wednesday the woman, identified as Sarah A. The Aurora Police Department is investigating the crash which happened around 1:00pm Monday at the intersection of Farnsworth Avenue and Mountain Street. An Elgin High School studuent was shot and killed after being robbed by an unidentified thief just outside the United Center in Chicago Sunday evening. The victim, identified as 18-year-old Jesse Kendall, was in Chicago to attend a concert.
