Geneva’s RiverPark Summer Concert Series kicks off this Sunday with a unique musical experience. The Illinois Brass Band opens the series at 6 pm, Sunday, July 2, at River Park, located at North River Lane and Peyton Street just north of State Street. What has possibly been the worst-kept secret in the tri-cities can now be confirmed: Whole Foods will be moving into the historic Blue Goose space in downtown St. Charles. The Annual July 4th Fireworks will be launched from Langum Park, located at 7th and Madison Avenues in downtown St. Charles, rather than its traditional anchor at Pottawatomie Park. The move is in response to public safety recommendations on behalf of emergency responders, led by the St. Charles Police Department, working in collaboration with the St. Charles Park District.
