Three Cook County men have been accused of burglarizing an elderly couple’s residence home using a “contaminated water” ruse in Naperville. According to a joint press release from the Dupage County State’s Attorney’s Office and the Naperville Police Department, on Monday, April 10, at approximately 4:38 p.m., officers were dispatched to a residence on Waxwing Avenue for a report of a residential ruse burglary that had just occurred. Auroran Nicole Dickerson has died from injuries suffered during a three-vehicle accident on Eola Road last Thursday evening. Dickerson was 48 years old. At 8:52PM Thursday evening, APD officers responded to the area of Eola Road and Village Green Drive for a three-vehicle traffic crash. The preliminary investigation showed the driver of a southbound vehicle, a 32-year-old Aurora man, crossed the median and struck a northbound vehicle. Authorities have identifed the victim in Sunday’s fatal shooting in Aurora. The deceased is 24-year-old Myles Buie of Aurora. Shortly before 10:00PM Sunday evening, Aurora police were called to the 400 block of west New York Street in repsonse to shots being reported. Officers found Buie suffering from gunshot wounds inside a parked vehicle. Aurora Fire Department paramedics transported him to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later. As reported previously, an Elgin man was found stabbed to death in a home in the 300 block of Ryerson Avenue Sunday evening. The man has now been identified as 56-year-old Peter J. Lopez. His alleged assailant, a 57-year-old woman who lived with him in the residence, has now been charged with murder.
