Lighthouse Recovery, a local substance use disorder treatment provider, has placed a Narcan vending machine outside its St. Charles clinic located at 210 S. 5th St. in downtown St. Charles. An Aurora man is in custody for allegedly stealing money from a local Boy Scott troop in Naperville. The 59-year-old suspect was arrested on Tuesday on felony theft charges following an investigation into unauthorized checks being written from a Naperville Boy Scout troop’s bank account. In February 2023, Naperville Police received a report of thousands of dollars missing from the bank account of Boy Scout Troop 1776. An investigation discovered that cash and unauthorized checks totaling $21,838 made out to the troop’s treasurer, the suspect, were allegedly deposited into his personal bank account between May 2021 and November 2022. Fox Valley legend Rocky Lopez may be gone, but he is certainly not forgotten. Lopez, 53, died last week when the motorcyle he was riding in West Dundee collided with a white Lexus, driven by a 61-year-old woman from unincorporated Dundee.  Elgin business incubator Dream Hall, located at 51 South Grove, has wasted little time in paying tribute to Lopez, unveiling a massive mural dedicated to his various endeavors. Changes are coming for Tri-City motorists as the Bliss/Main/Fabyan Intersection Reconstruction Improvement Project kicks off on Monday, August 21. ​The project consists of a new road alignment, roundabout construction, roadway widening, resurfacing, lighting, drainage, and landscape restoration for Bliss Road, Main Street Road and Fabyan Parkway just west of Randall Road. A suspect remains at large today after a PNC Bank branch at 850 Summit Street in Elgin was robbed yesterday afternoon. At approximately 1:45pm Tuesday afternoon, agents responded to a bank robbery at the PNC Bank located at 850 Summit Street, Elgin. (According to federal law, the FBI has jurisdiction in all bank robbery cases.)
