On the morning of March 23, 2018, Thaddeus Jones broke into a woman’s home in unincorporated Naperville, sexually assaulted her, and then forced her into her car to drive to her bank to withdraw money from her account. Jones now faces 100 years in prison. DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin announced today that Judge Michael Reidy has sentenced Jones, 26 to one hundred years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for the crime. An Aurora woman was killed Monday when the car she was a passenger in crashed into a utility pole near Sugar Grove. Driver intoxication is suspected in the accident. A man was shot and hospitalized on the northwest side of Naperville early yesterday morning. The identity of the victim has not been released. At approximately 12:16 a.m. monday morning, Naperville Police Department officers responded to the 700 block of Inland Circle for the report of a subject that had been shot. The Naperville Fire Department transported the victim to the hospital and his injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.
