A 51-year-old man is dead after his vehicle crashed into a tree on Naper Boulevard Sunday evening. At approximately 7:01pm Sunday, the Naperville Police and Fire departments responded to a single-vehicle crash involving injuries near the intersection of Naper Boulevard and 87th Street. The initial investigation indicates that a blue Toyota Scion driven by a Lisle man was southbound on Naper Boulevard approaching 87th Street when it crossed northbound lanes of traffic, left the roadway, and struck a tree. A 51-year-old Glendale Heights man has been arrested in relation to a stabbing that occurred during a road rage incident Elgin in late January. This week, the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office charged the suspect with the following: Elgin police officers were summoned to Sherman Hospital on the of January 23 to investigate an adult male stabbing victim being treated for non-life threatening injuries. The City of Naperville announced in a press release that the second phase of work to improve streets, sidewalks and utilities in portions of downtown Naperville is scheduled to begin Monday, February 5, pending weather or unforeseen circumstances. These updates are designed to improve pedestrian mobility, accessibility and safety in this area.
