A 19-year-old male was killed early Thursday morning when the car he was driving left the road and crashed into a tree in Naperville. A passenger in the car, a 25-year-old male, was critically injured in the crash. According to the Labor Department, the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers rose .4% in September, seasonally adjusted, and rose 8.2% over the last 12 months, not seasonally adjusted. The index for all items less food and energy increased 0.6% in September, up 6.6% over the year – the highest since 1982. Estimates for the top-line rate were for an 8.1% rate.
