Naperville police officers, responding to a report of a domestic incident, came upon a grisly scene this morning: a woman shot dead and a man dead from an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound. At approximately 7:30 a.m. this morning, Naperville Police Officers responded to an apartment complex on the 1300 block of Crab Apple Court for a report of a domestic incident. Owners: Dog “lucky to be alive” According to a report from NBC5, a small dog was attacked by a coyote in the back yard of a Naperville home Friday evening. The Elgin Police Department is investigating a second gunfire incident in as many days, and the fourth this month. On Sunday at approximately 4:18 p.m., officers responded to the 1500 block of Meyer Street for a report of shots fired. Officers confirmed that shots fired had occurred. Retired Brigadier General Charles McGee, part of the pioneering all-Black Tuskegee Airmen during World War Two and one of its most decorated pilots, died on Sunday at the age of 102, his family said in a statement. After two incidents of gunfire in the early morning hours of New Year’s Day, the Elgin police are investigating the third such incident, which occurred Saturday morning.
