Between October 2015 and June 2016, Jacob Headtke of Elgin sexually abused a child younger than 13 years old, and one who was familiar to him. Headtke also attempted to abuse a second child he knew. Yesterday, the 32-year-old Headtke was sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment in the Illinois Department of Corrections for aggravated criminal sexual abuse, a Class 2 felony, and 3 years for attempted aggravated criminal sexual abuse, a Class 3 felony. On the afternoon of April 29, 2018, 26-year-old Travaris D. Stevenson came from Chicago to Elgin for a drug deal. He and another man ended up shooting two men in the back of the head. For that act, he will likely spend the rest of his life in prison. Kane County State’s Attorney Jamie L.
