A 29-year-old man was found deceased in a Batavia resident early Saturday morning following a 9-1-1 call requesting emergency assistance.
At approximately 3:52am Saturday, Batavia Police officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of East Wilson Street where they found a 27-year-old female exiting the residence with apparent injuries. Medical personnel were immediately requested.
The female was transported by medics to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Inside the apartment, officers located a 29-year-old male who was deceased.
According to police, the preliminary investigation indicates that the individuals involved were known to one another, and there is no indication of an ongoing threat to the community. The Batavia Police Department, with assistance from the Fox Valley Major Crimes Task Force, is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
