The West Suburban Irish call us their home and we offer Naperville’s original dog friendly patio during warmer months. Quiz night is at 7PM the first Tuesday of most months. Irish Sessions is the third Wednesday of the month starting at 7:30PM. Slainte!

Craic is a Gaelic term that describes the feeling you should get in an Irish Pub – fun, good conversation, good music and food, and great people.
To ensure that Quigley’s Irish Pub would have great craic, we had the pub designed, built, and shipped over from Ireland. The wood is Iroko Teak and the custom glasswork was hand etched and colored. The antique fireplace and bookcases in the smoking room have been brought over from Dublin along with original Irish prints, which accent the walls. The screens that break up the bar into sections provide areas for groups to have their own space for conversation. The entire pub is intentionally broken up into small areas for the same reason. The two booths in the Victorian room are called “Snugs.” In Ireland, “Snugs” had doors and were the only place where women were allowed to drink. Women are now welcomed in all areas of the pubs in Ireland, but the “Snugs” gained such popularity, that they remain in use till this day.
The pub resides in the historic Jefferson Hill building, which was built in 1845, three years before the potato famine began in Ireland. The original hand hewn beams and stone foundation can be seen in the cottage room. The cottage room is the former billiard room of Naperville Mayor Kendall, whose family lived in the house in the early 1900’s. You can also get a glimpse of the original back of the house if you look up behind the bar and through the glass ceiling.
The staff at Quigley’s Irish pub is doing their best to provide you with good craic, so sit back and enjoy the food, beer, music and people.

Rosie O’Hare’s Public House
There are no strangers at Rosie O’Hare’s Public House, only friends you haven’t yet met
Located in a small residential area along the mighty Fox River in East Dundee, Illinois, it’s the perfect little Irish Pub where you can get the freshest Guinness pint in town along with a great meal provided by our longtime chef, Jon Snell. They go through several kegs a week along with other Irish beers on tap like Harp and Smithwicks. They have 16 draught tappers so they mix it up with other local favorites brews. They have a full service bar with mixed drinks, beer, wine, craft beer, seltzers, ciders, etc. Rosie’s loves the tried and true regulars!

Rosie O’Hare’s is not your usual Irish Pub as they have a wood burning meat Smoker to smoke the award winning corned beef and other meats on the menu like pulled pork and turkey along with Smoked Prime Rib served on Saturday nights only.
BBQ items are served in the summer months which includes pork ribs, chicken and beef brisket. The bar also offers a popular breakfast menu every Sunday morning. An Irish American breakfast is offered monthly on select Saturday mornings closest to the 17th of the month when able. All events are posted on the Rosie O’Hare’s Public House Facebook business page. It’s also a great spot for outdoor dining in the summer. The entire staff is fantastic and has been in place for several years which adds to the ‘Cheers’ family feeling. Local Live music at night is usually every weekend during the summer months.
A wedding facility down the street brings in wedding guests day of events and the after parties. The bar also also has a private party room upstairs that holds up to 80 people and is great for hosting wedding rehearsal dinners, and birthday/anniversary/graduation/retirement parties.
Gary and Jamie Mueller purchased the bar in September, 2011 from the estate of Gary’s lifelong friend Thom McNamee after he passed away in 2009.

The bar, which dates back to the mid-1800s, has a colorful history as a general store, a motel and a halfway house/stagecoach stop since it’s located approximately halfway between Chicago and Rockford. There are legends of Abraham Lincoln stopping by on the campaign trail and Frank Capone, Al’s brother, trying to control the bar during the era of bootlegging.
The Village of East Dundee holds several community events throughout the year. One of the biggest events of course is celebrating St Patrick’s Day every March. A parade is held the second Saturday in March. This year it is being held on March 9th. It’s called the Thom McNamee Memorial Parade and we are honored each year with the parade starting outside the front door of Rosie O’Hare’s. The parade brings in thousands of people to the area for St Paddy Day fun but fundraising for the local food banks is the focus for weeks leading up to this event. They also fund school scholarships and much more. It’s a party with a purpose.
The locals call the bar just Rosie’s for short. Stop on by and say hello and grab a pint if you’re in the area. Slainte!
