Geneva’s Chamber of Commerce will the annual Festival of the Vine, one of the community’s most popular seasonal events, from Friday through Sunday, September 5–7, in downtown Geneva.
Now in its 43rd year, this long-running community event brings together great local food, wine, live music, and family-friendly fun. Centered around S. Fourth and James Streets, the big tasting tent is where you’ll find some of Geneva’s favorite restaurants serving up signature small plates. Guests buy tickets and sample their way through the tent — with plenty of wine, beer, and seltzer to go with it.
Guests can purchase tasting tickets at the event and exchange them for a variety of small plates prepared by participating eateries. Wines from around the world, along with beer and seltzer selections, will also be available for purchase, offering the perfect pairing for every palate.
In addition to food and beverage offerings, the festival will feature:
- Live music from Chicago-area and local performers
- A colorful arts and crafts show
- Wine-themed merchant events
- Local business booths
- Children’s activities
- Complimentary horse-drawn carriage rides
- Exceptional shopping throughout Geneva’s historic downtown
“This is one of those feel-good, food-filled weekends that really brings the community together,” said Johanna Patterson, Communications Director of the Geneva Chamber of Commerce.
