A Waterman man apparently couldn’t wait to reach a passing zone on Route 30 in Big Rock Saturday evening. As a result, he and the two people riding the motorcyle he hit head-on are dead.

According to the Kane County Sheriff’s office, on Saturday evening at approximately 9:28pm a gray Honda Civic driven by 55-year-old Jaime Bibiano of Waterman was travelling westbound on US Route 30 from Davis Road in Big Rock. Bibiano passed a vehicle in front of him in the eastbound lane in a no-passing zone.

A blue 2002 Harley Davidson Motorcycle driven by 56-year-old Scott Luczynski of Elburn and passenger on the motorcycle, 58-year-old Kathleen Luczynski, were traveling eastbound on US Route 30 approaching Davis Road.  While Bibiano was passing on the left, he struck the motorcycle head-on.

At 10:06pm, Kathleen Luczynski was located deceased on scene.  Bibiano was located in his vehicle, also deceased.  Scott Luczynski was taken to Mercy Hospital in Aurora where he was pronounced deceased at 10:19pm.

Sheriff’s Detectives continue to investigate the crash. It is unknown if drugs or alcohol were involved at this time.
