4 FOR THE WEEKEND
where we’re still unclear about this whole “Yankee Doodle Dandy” concept…
So let’s get to it, starting with…..
Now THAT Is A Party…
Five full days.
That’s what Bartlett is offering for its annual Independence Day celebration.
Five days.
My dudes, the Almighty created the world in 6. (He watched football on Sunday.)
Whatever. It’s a long (and fun) celebration of our nation’s birthday. It’s work a look.

Okay, This One’s Only 4 Days
Naperville is taking a somewhat more measured approach to Independence Day, using only 4 days to celebrate America.
Does this make Naperville less patriotic than Bartlett?
Or is it just more efficient???
(On a serious note, Naperville Salute, as the title implies, focuses on honoring our military veterans, which we heartily endorse.)

In our never-ending quest to provide you, dear reader, juicy nuggets off the beaten path (yes, that was a massive mixed metaphor – sue us), we present the Illinois Brass Band at Geneva’s Riverpark.
Don’t laugh. First, this particular brass band is one of the best in the country. Second, the music is magnificent. Third, if you do laugh you may find a euphonium right up your…well, you get the idea.

And Finally…
Ok, we’re making a deal with you. We’re going to limit our farmers market recommendations to one, inclusive post.
Below is a list of outstanding farmers markets that you can attend this and every weekend.
Go on, do it. Don’t make us keep hounding you.
You’re welcome.

We’ve given up on predicting the weather. The Weather Channel is always wrong. You’re on your own, folks.
If, for whatever reason, none of our fabulous four events doesn’t pop your cork, we’ll be very insulted. However, all hope is not lost. Simply go to www.foxvalleymagazine.com and check out our A+E and Events sections for other ideas.
Finally, please do us a favor. We would be eternally grateful if you could share this with some of your unsuspecting family, friends and neighbors. We’d also appreciate some love on our Facebook page (see below). Ok, technically it’s a “LIKE,” but don’t be pedantic. Also, that’s actually two favors. We’ll owe you.
Thanks for reading. Until next time…OH! One more thing. If you’re reading this via the website and would like to have this emailed to you bright and early every Friday morning, please SUBSCRIBE!
