4 FOR THE WEEKEND
where we’re getting increasingly pissed at the groundhog.
So let’s get to it, starting with…..
A Worthy Charity
No jokes for this one.
CASA Kane County is one of those “must-have” non-profits whose work sends reverberations over generations.
CASA is a child-advocacy organization that provides training and support for volunteers to be, literally, court-appointed legal advocates for children suffering abuse and neglect.
They’re holding their fundraiser this weekend at the Q Center in St. Charles. Please consider helping out – and having a wonderful time while you’re at it.

First Fridays Are Back!
After a seasonal break, downtown Aurora’s First Fridays celebrations have returned. We love ’em.
March’s episode “puts the spotlight on women.” If you think we’re going to touch that with a 10-foot pole, you are sadly mistaken.
Get on down to Aurora and check it out.

“I’m Not A Frenchie, I’m A Belgie!”
(Who got that reference??? It’s the Hercule Poirot character in Neil Simon’s hilarious “Murder By Death,” a spoof of murder mysteries that is just perfect. Here’s the trailer. Must see.)
This is one of Christie’s all-time classics. (There are many.)
What we like about performances like this in a relatively small space is the intimacy with the actors/characters. You feel like you’re part of the action.
If you miss it this weekend, it’s available next weekend as well.

And Finally…
Ok, we admit that this is a “homer” post.
The popular 2 podcast is produced by us. But that shouldn’t color your opinion here. The guys are a lot of fun live, and the Chicago Steel are a hidden gem in the Fox Valley.
Come on out on Sunday afternoon to see both. It’s gonna be a great time.

We’ve given up on predicting the weather. The Weather Channel is always wrong. You’re on your own, folks.
If, for whatever reason, none of our fabulous four events doesn’t pop your cork, we’ll be very insulted. However, all hope is not lost. Simply go to www.foxvalleymagazine.com and check out our A+E and Events sections for other ideas.
Finally, please do us a favor. We would be eternally grateful if you could share this with some of your unsuspecting family, friends and neighbors. We’d also appreciate some love on our Facebook page (see below). Ok, technically it’s a “LIKE,” but don’t be pedantic. Also, that’s actually two favors. We’ll owe you.
Thanks for reading. Until next time…OH! One more thing. If you’re reading this via the website and would like to have this emailed to you bright and early every Friday morning, please SUBSCRIBE!
