Just when did the whole “food truck” thing start?
See, we never remember knowing anything about food trucks growing up. Or even 5 years ago.
We remember this one movie about a big-shot chef getting fired and “going back to his roots” by getting a food truck in Miami and coming up with the perfect Cuban sandwich, thereby regaining his mojo and getting a new restaurant.
Cute movie, but could that really have been the beginning?
It’s weird. But, now that they’re a thing, you probably ought to hit up Naperville this weekend.

Yeah, we know that Madonna, and to a lesser extent Lady Gaga, are adult fun. But when we see little girls dressing like, well, you know, we want to scream.
So go enjoy. Just leave your daughters at home. (It’s over 21, anyway.)

Look, we know.
This is dangerously close to a farmers market, and we have vowed to keep such content to a bare minimum (in deference to our male readers).
But there is a distinction.
This is more of a market at a farm. You see the point? The location is everything.
And there are lots of neat things for the kiddies to do to keep them distracted while you throw back a few brews while the wife buys lots of yummy stuff.
So open your mind and give it a shot!

Regular readers (and you all SHOULD be) will know that we’re big fans of the The Venue in Aurora.
This fairly new spot is run as a non-profit by a bunch of well-off folks who just love music. That’s it. And the variety and quality of shows they bring to Aurora show it.
So take advantage of the end-of-summer outdoor music festival they’re putting on this weekend.
