Welcome to our latest edition of Fox Valley Magazine’s

    4 FOR THE WEEKEND

where if 15 minutes can save 15%, shouldn’t 100 minutes make it free?

So let’s get to it, starting with…..

    Yeah, Baby, They’re Back!

How we love a good farmers market!

    (Yes, dear.)

Gosh, we can’t wait for both of us to stroll down lanes of fresh produce!

    (Yes, dear.)

And if you play your cards right, we’ll get you some flowers! Or some scented soap!

    (Yes, dear.)

And after, we can go watch the NBA Finals!!!

Now That We Got That Out Of The Way….

Time to focus on some fabulous music this weekend.

First up, love us some Ray Charles.

If you want some quality, and unique, R&B and jazz, look no further than Wentz Hall in Naperville this Friday. Sure, it may not be a smoky night club (do those still exist? We kinda miss them.), but the music will be hot.

Blues, Brews & BBQs, Part I

So, on the south end of the Fox Valley, you’ve got a bluesfest at Mundy Park.

(We’ll get to the north end next.)

Put on by the spectacular folks at Aurora’s The Venue, Blues & Brews is an outdoor weekend of great music, food and, well, brews.

Hang out in the park, have a few brewski’s and jam out.

    Nuthin’ to it.

    And Finally…Part II

One of our favorite events of the year.

The north end of the Fox Valley, East Dundee, will be host to Duke’s Blues-n-BBQ Blues Festival this weekend.

And yes, Duke is really a person. (Pictured below.) And a really, really nice guy.

The music is amazing, and the BBQ is out of this world.

And you may just see us wandering around, causing trouble…

It looks like it’s going to be a decent weekend. While it appears that there will be a lot of clouds, the rain will be negligible, and the temps will be just about right, ranging from hi’s of mid-70s to lower-80s. Maybe a bit chilly in the evenings. As ever, plan accordingly.

If, for whatever reason, none of our fabulous four events doesn’t pop your cork, we’ll be very insulted. However, all hope is not lost. Simply go to www.foxvalleymagazine.com and check out our A+E and Events sections for other ideas.

Finally, please do us a favor. We would be eternally grateful if you could share this with some of your unsuspecting family, friends and neighbors. We’d also appreciate some love on our Facebook page (see below). Ok, technically it’s a “LIKE,” but don’t be pedantic. Also, that’s actually two favors. We’ll owe you.

Thanks for reading. Until next time…OH!  One more thing.  If you’re reading this via the website and would like to have this emailed to you bright and early every Friday morning, please SUBSCRIBE!
