4 FOR THE WEEKEND
where Mother’s Day was always awkward at the Freud house.
So let’s get to it, starting with…..
All Rhodes Lead…
…ok, that’s unworthy of us.
(Which is saying something.)
The Comedy Vault in Batavia is sometimes overlooked as a happening comedy spot, but the quality of acts is pretty consistent.
This weekend is no exception. Check out Erica Rhodes Friday or (and?) Saturday and have a few laughs.

First Food Truck First Friday
(Alliteration is our bag, obviously.)
Right, so after two years of COVID-purgatory, the food trucks are back in downtown Aurora.
As part of the monthly First Fridays shindig, nearly 30 food trucks will be on hand to service your every gastronomic desire.
(“…service your every gastronomic desire.” Now that’s a great phrase, admit it.)
(“Nearly 30?” Just round up, guys, nobody’s gonna count them. Sheesh.)

And….More Food Trucks!
Not to be outdone by its neighbor to the west, Naperville will be holding its annual Naperville Food Truck Festival on Saturday.
The festival is being held at Naper Settlement, which makes complete sense since the early founders of Naperville were all about tacos served from a 3,000 pound hunk of steel that houses a mini-restaurant.
(Sorry about that.)

And Finally…
With the temperature finally warming up a bit, it’s definitely time for some outdoor fun.
So get your lazy bones out to Pottawatomie Park (man, that’s hard to spell) this weekend.
Do it for no other reason than to experience the oft-mocked sublime beauty of the sport of kings – no, not horseracing you fool, miniature golf!

Friday weather? SURPRISE! IT’S RAIN! However, Saturday and Sunday look reasonably decent, with highs in the mid-60s and some sun. It will seem like the Sahara after the past couple of weeks. As ever, plan accordingly.
If, for whatever reason, none of our fabulous four events doesn’t pop your cork, we’ll be very insulted. However, all hope is not lost. Simply go to www.foxvalleymagazine.com and check out our A+E and Events sections for other ideas.
Finally, please do us a favor. We would be eternally grateful if you could share this with some of your unsuspecting family, friends and neighbors. We’d also appreciate some love on our Facebook page (see below). Ok, technically it’s a “LIKE,” but don’t be pedantic. Also, that’s actually two favors. We’ll owe you.
Thanks for reading. Until next time…OH! One more thing. If you’re reading this via the website and would like to have this emailed to you bright and early every Friday morning, please SUBSCRIBE!
