Yesterday evening in Elgin, two suspects were found injured from what appeared to be gunshot wounds.
The suspects were transported to area hospitals and are reported to be in stable condition.
At 9:24 p.m. Wednesday evening, Elgin police officers responded to the 0-100 block of Hill Avenue for a reported shooting. Officers arrived on scene and located two subjects with injuries who were subsequently transported to area hospitals.
Preliminary information received indicates that this incident appears to be isolated with no threat to the community.
This is the 66th gunfire incident in Elgin this year, eclipsing the previous record of 64.
