Welcome to our latest edition of Fox Valley Magazine’s

    4 FOR THE WEEKEND

where the Bears rule and the Packers drool.

So let’s get to it, starting with…..

    “It’s Just A Step To The Left…”

    …”and then a jump to the ri-i-i-i-i-ight”

Ok, we admit we’ve never been big on Rocky Horror. But credit where credit is due: it was a phenomenon. And remains a phenomenon for millions of nutjobs around the world.

    “Hey!”

    Sorry. Millions of devoted fans.

But the Elgin Symphony Orchestra playing the music from Rocky Horror Picture Show? Now THAT sounds interesting.

    Sugar Skulls In Aurora

    Yeah, we admit it.

We get freaked out by this Day of the Dead stuff.

And we’re Catholic, for heaven’s sake!

But if that’s the sort of thing you dig on, get over to Aurora this weekend and check out the annual Sugar Skull City festivities. (If you can’t make this weekend, you can catch it the next two weekends as well.)

    Moving On…To A Nightmare

Keeping with our creepy trend, a great start to the Halloween season is Batavia’s Nightmare At West Main.

As we understand it, West Main Community Park has some strange goings-on this time of year. And from 7-9pm this Friday (and Friday the 28th), you can come and scare yourself silly.

    Because that’s fun, right?

    Right???

    And Finally…A Smorgasbord of Scare

Seriously, the Fox Valley has some of the best (or worst, depending on your level of dementia) haunted houses in the state.

Pretty much all the genres are represented – prison riot, haunted forests, insane asylum breakout, the works.

So we put them all in one place for your masochistic convenience.

We’ll just stick with the big blow-up Snoopy in the yard…

Your weekly weekend weather looks pretty good if you like fall. A few afternoon showers Friday afternoon maybe, but other than than it’s highs in the upper 50s/lower 60s and great autumn sunshine. Plan accordingly.

If, for whatever reason, none of our fabulous four events doesn’t pop your cork, we’ll be very insulted. However, all hope is not lost. Simply go to www.foxvalleymagazine.com and check out our A+E and Events sections for other ideas.

Finally, please do us a favor. We would be eternally grateful if you could share this with some of your unsuspecting family, friends and neighbors. We’d also appreciate some love on our Facebook page (see below). Ok, technically it’s a “LIKE,” but don’t be pedantic. Also, that’s actually two favors. We’ll owe you.

Thanks for reading. Until next time…OH!  One more thing.  If you’re reading this via the website and would like to have this emailed to you bright and early every Friday morning, please SUBSCRIBE!
