September is not typically counted among the most crime-ridden of months.
That dubious honor typically goes the summer months of May-August, when young people are out of school and the weather brings everyone – naughty and nice – outdoors.
But this September has been a particularly busy month for the police and fire departments of the Fox Valley. A steady string of violent crimes, non-violent crimes, fatal fires and traffic fatalities has accumulated from the very first day.
